Mon - Fri: 4 Shifts between 7:30a - 5:00p


Department/Position Details/Duties:

  • Performs quality MR exams, to acquire appropriate images and accurate diagnostic information for interpretation by a supervising radiologist.
  • Ability to analyze and position the patient to image the required anatomy for optimal results.
  • Responsible for starting IV's on patients requiring contrast.
  • Utilize special techniques as required to enhance visualization of the anatomy.
  • Prior to beginning the examination, assess the ability of the patient to comply with the physical requirements of the examination and explain the examination to the patient.
  • Perform the minimal required safety evaluations on the radiographic systems by following established policies and procedures to detect problems that could cause equipment to fail or pose a safety hazard to the patient / staff.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate of an A.M.A. approved radiologic technology school.
  • Completion of a MR educational program or comparable work experience in the practice specialty of MR.
  • ARRT Registered or registry eligible. (MRI)
  • BLS required within 60 days of hire.

Experience:

  • Previous MRI Technologist experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with most major MRI equipment manufacturer's hardware and software (GE)

Physical:

  • This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
