HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to troubleshoot and use specialized tools to conduct performance testing before and after repairs.
• Inspect and test the HVAC system to verify compliance with specifications.  This can include testing of electrical circuits for continuity or the testing of pipe, tubing joints and/or connections for leaks.
• Ability to repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Identify customer needs, discuss and offer solutions.
• Accurate reporting on the work order including faults and deficiencies, as well as all time and material expended.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Limited on-call rotation.
• Support and participate in the Commitment of Excellence Program.
• Additional duties as or responsibilities as assigned.

.QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous HVAC service and troubleshooting preferred.
• Able to work independently without regular supervision.
• Must be available for flexible work hours including occasional overtime and a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must be highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
• EPA Certification required; NATE Certification preferred
• Ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 55 lbs. as needed.
• Requires working outdoors in varied environmental conditions.
