IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Entry level IT Support Specialist responsible for being technically strong and disciplined in Access/Excel Macros/Visual Basic Applications with an ability to deliver quality solutions. Developing robust and maintainable applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Microsoft Access and Excel Macros/VBA Code to efficiently. automate office work flow, financial analysis tasks and generate reports.
• Optimize scripts to pull data from the accounting software using Microsoft Access queries and VBA.
• Ability to perform tasks such as map a network drive, install software and drivers, resolve printer problems, assist employees with computer related tasks.
• Ensure smooth delivery and support of new tools delivered.
• Learn and effectively operate company computers and software.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure that knowledge is shared with other members of the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Microsoft Access Database development and MS Excel with VBA experience (report automation and custom application development).
• Formal education in Computer Science (e.g., Community College classes on CS101 topics, Code School, or equivalent work experience of 2 years).
• Knowledge/exposure to other Microsoft Office and similar office software (Adobe / Bluebeam, PDF Document Processing).
• Familiarity with the Windows Operating systems.

• Driven self-starter, able to work on a small team and take initiative on new tasks with minimal supervision.

• Ability to operate phones, computers, related office equipment.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs., sit for long periods of time, stand, stoop, bend, lift, move freely.
