Job Description:
The Office Coordinator for Twin Cities Development (TCD) ensures smooth daily operations of the organization by supporting office functions, assisting staff, and contributing to TCD’s community and workforce development efforts. This role combines administrative expertise with responsibilities in marketing, workforce initiatives, and membership development to promote regional economic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Office Coordination:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Assist staff with administrative tasks, special projects, and event preparation.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, ensuring the office is well-equipped.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical, for office records and documents.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments for staff and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and maintain office and building equipment, arranging repairs as needed.
  • Assist with taking apartment rent payments and distributing receipts
  • Take minutes and notes for various meetings.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist with managing TCD’s brand and vision initiatives, press releases, and social media content.
  • Support the creation of marketing campaigns, monthly newsletters, and event calendars.
  • Help maintain TCD’s website and coordinate with Golden Shovel to optimize online presence.
  • Assist in the organization and promotion of community events through targeted marketing efforts.

Workforce Development:

  • Support the coordination of Career Connections of Western Nebraska initiatives, including career cab tours and job expos.
  • Assist in planning and executing workforce development events and job fairs.
  • Provide administrative support for the Teen Opportunity Survey and internship program initiatives.

Membership Development:

  • Maintain membership records and assist with outreach efforts to retain and attract TCD members.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective members through consistent communication and engagement.

Community Support & Economic Development:

  • Provide administrative support for Western Nebraska Economic Development (WNED) and other regional initiatives.
  • Assist the Executive Director and staff with economic development projects, including business attraction and community engagement efforts.
  • Partner with the Business Development Specialist to conduct Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) visits, identifying business needs and development opportunities.
  • Provide key support to the Executive Director on economic development projects such as business attraction, LB840, RED, and community engagement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience in office administration or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Constant Contact, Canva, Survey Monkey, and Adobe Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A background in marketing, workforce development, or community engagement is a plus.
