Midwest Eye Care is looking for a Clinical Outreach Assistant at our location at 13500 California Street location.

Full time  

8:00am-5:00pm (may vary on travel days)

In this role YOU will:

• Prepare patients charts for clinics prior to the clinic date.
• Ensure incoming patient charts from outreach clinics are entered in the EMR.
• Follow up with all relevant parties on any missing or required information.
• Travel to outreach clinics as needed to collect required patient information, order drug, expedite surgery scheduling, and monitor patient flow ensuring best possible patient experience.
• Schedule transportation services as needed for Outreach clinics.
• Perform surgery/laser scheduling tasks such as scheduling patient, facilities, and physicians. Also, may include conducting pre-operative interview with patients, maintaining surgical charts.
• Maintain accurate inventory of outreach equipment and escalates need to Outreach Supervisor when appropriate.

• The ability to multi-task and function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Operating knowledge of email and communication management systems.
• The ability to work flexible hours and travel to outreach clinics as needed by the practice.

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

• Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification and a motor vehicle record check
• Successfully complete drug testing.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years’ related experience preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional push/pull of patients in wheelchairs.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more to lift chart cases and computer cases during travels to and from outreach clinics.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to six hours/day in the clinic regularly.
