Fall Library Desk Worker

Provide general front line support to Iowa Western Students in the Cyber Library.

Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting students with computers and printing, checking out laptops to students, answering general questions about Iowa Western, directing students to appropriate resources, and monitoring student traffic in the library. Student workers are also expected to maintain a study environment by addressing noise and other issues.

• Current Iowa Western student with at least a 2.5 GPA.
• Basic knowledge of Cyber Library resources and policies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ROC, BibliU, Canvas and basic computer functions.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service.  
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  
• Ability to address noise concerns with students.
• Prior to interview, students must provide proof of registration for the upcoming semester.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs
