POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer I is responsible for executing and coordinating the compliance and improvement of quality performance requirements, quality management system (QMS) integration, and continuous improvement (CI) projects. This role is responsible for conducting rigorous inspections, audits, and tests to identify and resolve quality issues.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor degree in engineering or another related field. Focus in quality field is preferred.
Experience: No previous experience required. Engineering internship preferred. Experience in an industrial environment, quality control, or quality assurance function preferred.
Required Skills:
·    Basic PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing and databases.
·    Knowledge of applied statistics.
·    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
·    Knowledge of basic production processes and material properties.
·    Good written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills
·    Working knowledge of statistics and statistical methods used in quality functions.
·    Intermediate Level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
·    Ability to accurately measure using precision metrology tools.
·    Proficiency with quality tools used for problem solving and quality improvement.
·    Company product and application knowledge.
·    American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certification.
·    Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
