Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team and support patients in our outpatient setting. In this role, you will be an essential part of a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of patient collections, order entry/retrieval, and charting. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting, bringing both technical expertise and a positive attitude to support our patients.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants with hospital phlebotomy experience.

Location: Nebraska Medical Center | Nebraska Medicine Omaha, NE

Schedule Details:

• Shift Time: 8 hours per shift (4 shifts per week) OR 6 hours per shift (5 shifts per week)

• Schedule: Shifts will vary each week, with no guarantee of specific days or times. Availability required across all days of the week.

• Employment Status: Part-Time, 0.8 FTE

Duties: Phlebotomist - Outpatient

Responsible for collection and transportation of patient specimens for clinical laboratory testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment, represent the lab in a professional manner, and provide excellent customer service. May process and distribute patient specimen for clinical laboratory testing.

Required Qualifications: Phlebotomist - Outpatient

* Minimum of 18 years of age required.

* High school education or equivalent required.

* Effective written and oral communication skills required.

* Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.

* Computer experience required.

* Attention to detail required.

* Ability to multitask required.

* Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Preferred Qualifications: Phlebotomist - Outpatient

* Direct patient care experience or completion of a phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred.

* Phlebotomy certification PBT (ASCP) preferred.
