About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Statistical Programming within its Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of statistical programmers in support of a wide range of clinical development projects. This role is pivotal in establishing and executing the programming strategy for early-stage development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering innovation within the department. The Executive Director will also be a key member of the Statistical Programming Leadership Team, contributing to the shaping of the department's vision and strategy, and will be expected to engage with external industry and regulatory leaders. Candidates for this position should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Ph.D., and at least 10 years' of experience in statistical programming or a related area within a pharmaceutical development environment. A minimum of 5 years' of management experience at the Director level is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business domain knowledge, including expertise in statistical analysis, pharmaceutical development, and advanced programming techniques. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams, as well as the ability to negotiate and work effectively across different business domains and cultures. Excellent communication skills, the ability to make sound business decisions in a dynamic environment, and experience in project management are essential.
