About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join their team. The CNO will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the nursing division, ensuring that all activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role involves active participation in the hospital's decision-making processes, including collaboration with the governing body, senior leadership, medical staff, and other clinical leaders. The CNO will also oversee patient care, resource management, and fiscal management, and will be instrumental in driving performance outcome initiatives and quality improvement. Candidates for the CNO position at the company must be Registered Nurses with a Master's degree (Doctorate preferred) and have at least 5 years of progressive nurse leadership experience. Essential functions of the role include directing the delivery of nursing care, establishing and implementing nursing policies and standards, and ensuring the provision of nursing services 24/7. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of nursing operations in a teaching hospital, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to lead in a matrixed organization. Experience in fostering relationships at all levels, leading process improvement initiatives, and a proven track record of success in a similar healthcare setting are also key requirements. The CNO will be expected to be a decisive leader, with a strong reputation for inclusive, trust-based physician relations, and to have a deep understanding of information systems as they relate to healthcare management.
